PHOTOGRAPHERS’ LOCATION NOTES
At the November 2000 Beverley Festival in South Western Australia, a lady called Marion Mason asked us to check out her parent’s farm near Katanning. It was 11 months later that we managed to get there and we were pleased with what we saw.
The blacksmith shop was complete and we decided to wait till the evening to shoot it.

A tour of the farm revealed an old 19 century mobile Chaff Cutter, the remains of a T- Model Ford and a Saddle Maker’s SInger sewing machine.

Marian was keen for us to photograph the blacksmith’s shop which her father had worked in all his life but unfortunately he was now of advanced years and in hospital with cancer so she was keen to get a framed photograph of his workplace to show him before he passed away.
